Edit your Yamaha arranger styles
right in the browser

Open a .sty file, edit the accompaniment on a piano roll, and play chords to hear it follow along — just like on the keyboard. Save a working style for your PSR-SX, Genos, Tyros or PSR. No install, works on any computer — and your files never leave it.

100% in your browser — nothing uploaded ✔ Windows, Mac & Linux ✔ SFF1 & SFF2 — tested on real hardware

Made for arranger-keyboard players

If you tweak or build styles for a Yamaha PSR, Tyros or Genos, you know the tools are old, Windows-only, and fiddly.

Fix a style you own

Mute a busy part, move a bass line, quiet a fill — small changes that make a factory or downloaded style fit your song.

Build variations

Copy Main A into Main B and rework it — a fast way to grow a style without starting from scratch.

On any computer

No Windows-only installer. It runs in your browser on Mac, Windows or Linux — open a page and go.

How it works

Three steps, all on your own machine.

1

Open your .sty

Drag a style file onto the editor. Quandle Style Studio reads its sections (Intro, Main A–D, Fills, Ending) and every instrument part.

2

Edit the piano roll & listen

Pick a section and a part, then add, move, resize, copy or delete notes. Press play to hear the section — in your browser or through your own keyboard — and play chords on your keyboard to hear the accompaniment follow along in real time, the way the instrument does.

3

Save & load on your keyboard

Save a new .sty, copy it to a USB stick, and play it on your keyboard. The style's chord-response settings are kept exactly as they were.

Your style files are processed entirely inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server — Quandle Style Studio can't see your files, and neither can anyone else.

What it does today

This is an early, honest first version — here's exactly where it stands.

✔ Edits SFF1 & SFF2 styles

Both the classic PSR/Tyros format and the newer SFF2 used by PSR-SX and Genos. Full note editing with a safe, lossless save — verified on a real keyboard.

✔ Chord-follow that matches your keyboard

Play chords on your keyboard and the accompaniment follows in real time, transposed with the style's own rules — so what you hear in the editor lines up with the instrument.

✔ Preserves the accompaniment brain

The CASM data that makes a style follow your chords is kept byte-for-byte — you only ever change the notes.

Try it — and tell me if it's useful

Quandle Style Studio is free while I find out whether players actually want a tool like this. If it helps you — or if something's missing — I'd genuinely like to hear it.
